Swarovski Project
The group "Sinne" (Senses)
(B. Behrendt, S. Krüger, K. Krüll, H. Schaefer, C. Stüvel), students at the
Academy of Fashion Design, Hamburg, was awarded first prize by a jury of experts.
The topic: Innovative Presentation of the Swarovski Crystal Lifestyle Products entitled
"Matter & Light". The presentation of the winning design was at the opening of the
Swarovski Store in Düsseldorf in August 02.

"Matter" is warmth, nature and purism. Natural materials, such as untreated wood,
felt, fur, antique leather, feathers, rare woods and stone,
form a crass contrast with pure, vibrant, cut crystal.

Earthy tones, like ochre, sand, red brown and soft grey dominate in this "living world", and
are more than just the background for Swarovski's glittering crystal accessories.
Visitors are invited to sit down and absorb the energy of the crystals with all their senses.
