"Brevity is the soul of wit", goes the saying. A body only 60 cm long is plenty for our little Japanese robot friend to do his stuff. What he lacks in size, he makes up several fold for in charm. If necessary, he' ll sing you a little Japanese folk song, to keep you on your toes.

The miniature superstar
Daniel, Alexander, Stephanie and Gracia of Popstars fame have made it. Endless hours of rehearsing their dance moves, singing, laughing, crying and learning how to answer all our questions.
The whole procedure was tortuous for all concerned, not least ourselves, and a sequel is dismayingly inevitable.
The hunt for a superstar could have been so much easier. Again, it' s the Japanese who have pointed us in the right direction. Secretly, crafty engineers have created a potential superstar that is as artificial as our German lot. He sings, he dances, he laughs and speaks. Not particularly well, but a lot better than most real people.
The little guy' s name is SDR-4X, and he has a gigantic memory, doesn' t need specs and is very easy on the eye. His exterior is shiny, his performance is stable and his lack of character is truly enviable. He doesn'' t bitch around, he only sings when you want him to, and you can actually switch him off.
T' would be a dream indeed if our German Superstars were endowed with these attributes.

Intelligent technology versus human characteristics. He laughs at your jokes, be they ever so bad, just like the average TV viewer. However, only if given the necessary command in advance. Complex sensorics set off actions and reactions. Don't go looking for innate intelligence coz there ain't any - just like our real-life superstars.

If you remember to feed the SDR-4X with the appropriate information, he will use basic methods of communication. A mini camera saves pictures of all the people he encounters, which are used for instant identification the next time their paths cross. A friendly "Hello, Daniel" is the result. Mistakes simply don't happen, and if the robot turns and flees at your approach, then it's thanks to his first-rate memory, and not his bad manners.

The technology behind the SDR-4X is highly complex and very secret. Numerous sensors allow him to move without bumping into things, thus reliably avoiding dents and scratches in the furniture. The only language he speaks right now is Japanese, and his memory is exclusively attuned to Asian melodies. But should this little wonder boy become an international hit then it's only be a matter of time before his loudspeakers star spewing forth note-perfect German or English hits, bless his little silicon soul.
