Jens Martin Skibsted and Elias Grove Nielsen don't think much of combustion engines. Particularly not if used to power a car. Fuelled by their shared aversion, the two Danes came up with the daring plan of designing and making their own bicycle collection while studying philosophy together. Jens Martin drew the first designs for the characteristic frames, while Elias took care of the technology.

Their bold idea has since grown into an acclaimed label which has attracted contributions from famous designers. The design for the most popular model, Amsterdam, came from the creative drawing board of the Australian designer Marc Newson.
