R.S.V.P.
(Répondez s'il vous plaît)

A passion for glass was what got R.S.V.P. (the abbreviation for the French request "répondez s'il vous plaît") going. Anna Pierleoni, the company's owner, now has six employees. All of her pieces are hand-made of crystal and the company has carved out a firm niche for itself in the world of hospitality and entertaining. The Italian businesswoman asked Ettore Sottsass, famous architect, founder of the "Memphis group" in 1981 and a living symbol of modern design, to design a series of eye-catching objects. The objects were to be crafted of existing sheets of glass in varying thicknesses and colours.
The results can be admired on the right, or go to our picture gallery for more images.

The entire R.S.V.P. range is available from selected retailers. Please contact us - we will be happy to let you know where your nearest stockist is.

The feedback was so good that the four leading museums in the United States - MOMA Museum of New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Philadelphia Museum of Art and Getty Museum in Los Angeles - all asked to be allowed to show the Sottsass collection in their permanent exhibitions.
