An example of exquisite glass artistry is this Vehicle (50 cm x 35 cm), a sensational one-off work of art by Pawel Borowski.
Completely hand-made, the artist obviously let his creative spirit run free in this glass object.

With tastes du jour being so sterile and colourless, the Borowskis are definitely swimming against the mainstream with
their artistic, vivid glass objects.
Stanislaw Borowski, the father, born in Poland and an acclaimed glass artist for the past three decades,
founded the Glasstudio Borowski GmbH in Hennef in 1990. His one-off works of art can be found all over the world
in the collections of renowned museums, private galleries and private collectors.
In 1993, he passed on the management of the studio on to his two sons, Pawel and Wiktor. Their outstanding creativity has
borne fruits in the shape of numerous home accessories, including vases, bowls and candelabras. The opening up of new distribution
channels through furniture stores has enabled them to make a strong international name for themselves.

This unique work by Stanislaw Borowski is yet another magnificent glass object made by this talented family.
The Boat (60 cm x 60 cm) is a riot of colour. Using grinding, engraving and sand-blasting techniques Borowski senior
worked faces and bodies into the tinted glass sails which magnetically attract the observer's eye.

As imaginative as it is exceptional, this 60 cm long bowl made by the younger Borowski generation. The Borowski brothers threw all conventional
ideas of home accessories overboard, turning instead to novel shapes such as this. What greater delight could any host
have than to offer his guests nibbles from the beak of a Pelican?

This Dragon is both glass object and lamp, and has the endearing dimensions of 90 cm x 30 cm.
Using a warm glass-moulding technique, the Borowski team shaped all the individual elements of this creature
in the melting oven. Once cold, the coloured glass components are sanded and ground.
The lamp object was perfected by gluing the individual parts together using a UV bonding agent.
In 1995, Pawel and Wiktor Borowski's idea of making lamps completely of glass was new and revolutionary.
The two artists confront their audience with polarising choice: either you love their objects or you don't. There's nothing in-between.
