It takes many hours of meticulous hand work at Karin Scholz's studio in Düsseldorf to create one her unique black leather designs. Her aim is simple: to craft the heirlooms of tomorrow. One of the couture dressmaker's specialities is handbags; a highlight of her collection are her stingray skin bags.

This baroque armchair is the only one of its kind. Karin Scholz used her signature fine black leather as the "modelling clay" - glued to canvas and artistically moulded with wooden rods. This fascinating object has been imaginatively decorated with a wealth of ornaments.
