Concorso d`Eleganza
Villa d`Este 2003
All over, people come together to admire machines and forget for a moment that steel, plastic, oil and petrol have very little emotional significance. These people stroke, even caress, the machines and take pleasure in even the briefest words of admiration.
Since 1929, these attractive machines have gathered here, surrounded by artistic gardens and elegant villas, to battle it out for the jury`s seal of approval. The owners stand by and lap up praise, tributes and competent comments about the bodywork, engine, condition and paintwork. Many spectators are amused, some surprised, others envious or even completely uncomprehending at how so much love can be directed at mere metal.
Notwithstanding, anyone who has ever experienced the magic of the Concorso d`Eleganza Villa d`Este will return. To see the cars, the countryside, the villas and to experience the atmosphere.
The 2004 show will take place from 3rd - 25th April, 2004.
