enlarge To praise and thank the lord with upraised arms was Erté's aim when he designed this sitting, exotically-oriental bronze figure of Fortune in 1926. The myriad pearls speak of the wealth in our hearts and in the world.
Erté

The Russian painter Erté (Romain de Tirtoff) is famous for his brilliant costume and set designs. His dramatic use of light brought the "Father of Art Déco" worldwide fame. All of his works are pervaded by his deeply spiritual philosophy. In 1990, Erté died at the ripe old age of 98.

enlarge Harmony and peace are symbolised by the two birds in Erté's only and distinctive candelabra Tree of Life. The design was a tribute to the fortieth anniversary of the foundation of Israel in 1988. Collectors everywhere will appreciate the value of this exceptional work of art.
